In Gospel of Matthew 20:17–28, Jesus does not condemn ambition. He redirects it.
The problem is not the desire to rise.
It is the desire to control.
Some refuse the throne, yet quietly choose who sits on it.
Not for service — but for leverage.
Corrupt ambition builds dependents.
Pure ambition builds successors.
One installs weakness to feel secure.
The other forms strength, even if that strength outgrows it.
If your influence cannot survive someone else’s excellence, it was never service — it was insecurity dressed as prudence.
Greatness, Christ says, is measured not by who serves you — but by who becomes stronger because you did.

Remain blessed.
